Wheat has been used by mankind since the earliest days of grass domestication in the Neolithic period. The production of oil from wheat is much more recent, as it takes around 1000kg of wheat to produce 1L of wheat germ oil. The sprouts contain the entire life of the plant in germination, so it is a very rich oil from a dietary point of view. Wheatgerm oil contains the most vitamin E, also known as tocopherol.
Wheatgerm oil is the oil of choice for mature, dry skin. It is an anti-ageing ally that helps the skin to regenerate and fight free radicals.
You can reap the full benefits of wheat germ oil for the skin by also consuming it internally.
